The Brief

GSK is a global healthcare company that researches and develops a broad range of Innovative medicines and brands. GSK approached Connect Labs, requesting we tender for the provision of a global iOS mobile application to assist visitors and staff in locating themselves at one of a number of GSK sites. Using Connect Lab’s unique indoor positioning and mapping technology we have been able to provide an intelligent, secure and business critical application which assists employees around the world.

Key for us was that the app looked ‘different’ and reflected the exciting, dynamic brand that is GSK. Connect Labs’s creative team went beyond our expectations with the design that was finally chosen while the technical group applied the functionality required to make the app a success

The Solution

A Smart Working Application

Originally designed for use on iPhone and iPad early 2016 saw the successful launched the Android platform. The application allows Secure Employee Login via Single Sign On with restricted information available to logged in users only. Employee are about to search for Site Services for locations worldwide and easily find direction to each location. Connect Lab’s map CMS allows real-time updating of location information whilst the Connect CMS allows for full content management of the application. Future proof as capable of integration with various other internal business systems, including cashless payments, meeting room booking systems and HR systems.

Working Smarter with GSK

GSK employees use this award winning app to navigate themselves to desks, meeting rooms and services at their facilities across the world. We work closely with GSK to continually develop this smart working app, in direct response to their desire to drive efficient working practices.

With technology at the heart of this strategy, Connect Labs have integrated with CAD, IBM and Sodexho FM to deliver a truly business critical, scalable and highly employee driven application, that delivers management reporting for asset and HR teams.

With over 20 Global sites using the platform we have developed a kiosk based varient.
